What is the FS60? The FS60 is a standalone, compact, and robust optical four plus two-finger flat & rolled fingerprint scanner. It is intended for large-scale projects that are required to collect all ten fingerprints. The FS60 is certified by the FBI as EBTS Appendix F compliant. 
Why do I need it? Deployed worldwide for AFIS systems, the FS60 is a high performance, field proven, reliable, and secure device. Its advanced optical system can capture a high quality 4 fingerprints image in less than 1.0 sec. It can also capture rolled fingerprints in a 1.6x1.5 inch (40.64x38.10mm) scanning area. With these capabilites, the FS60 can easily be used for generating high-quality templates for use with government criminial and identification systems all while at a lower cost than comparable fingerprint scanner systems. How does it work? The FS60 enrolls or authenticates users by scanning four fingers plus two thumbs or by rolling a single fingerprint across the scanning area The capture process can be controlled and customized via integrated buttons and LEDs atop the scanner. Who uses it? The FS60 is ideal for organizations that need a durable, easy to maintain, and powerful device to be used across a variety of large-scale biometric applications where a cost-effective, compact unit would be desirable. FEATURESGeneral The main purpose of the FS60 is to function in conjunction with various applications in order to restrict access to sensitive information of governments and corporations. The FS60 fingerprint scanner was designed for an office use, it is compact, cost-effective and can be deployed anywhere there is a USB connection. High Quality Optical Scanning Optical scanning is considered to be one of the most advanced identification (1:N) technology. It provides the highest quality and accuracy of identification regardless of the skin color and operates effectively with problematic fingers (dry or damaged skin, etc.). It also provides rapid capture of multiple fingerprints as in the case of the FS60. FBI Compliance Because of the FS60's ability to capture high quality images, it is compliant with the FBI's IQS (Image Quality Specification) Appedix F and has been certified by the FBI to suitable for use with AFIS and other advanced fingerprint systems. High Speed & Performance The combination of biometric fingerprint readers and applications provided by Bio-Metrica, provides one of the best performing systems with a very fast response time, accurate with very good performance ratios (low FAR / FRR / FTE, EER etc.) This performance is extremely important especially in government and Law Enforcement applications. Diversity of Interfaces For different types of applications, we offer few types of fingerprint scanners & embedded devices.
